The
Inn at Blackberry Creek, a Bed and Breakfast nestled in Washington Wine Country
with its rolling lawns, tall shade trees, and spring fed stream invites you
to be our guest. Experience the best of both worlds by at once relaxing in
a quiet country setting, while enjoying close proximity to historic parks,
quaint shops which line downtown Walla Walla streets, and award winning Walla
Walla Wineries, 70 wineries are within a 5 mile radius of the Inn. Once a Victorian
Farmhouse built in 1906 the Inn has been carefully restored to its original
beauty. Each of the three spacious rooms includes private baths and king sized
beds with comforters amid decorative antique furnishings. We have also added
a few modern conveniences by equipping each room with flat screen TV, DVD/VCR,
telephone, amenities tray and mini refrigerators stocked with soda and water
for your enjoyment.
Morning
at the Inn at Blackberry Creek begins with the smell of fresh baked pastries.
Fresh ground crème coffee is always available and a hearty breakfast
served menu style is served from 8am to 10am (arranged with Innkeeper). Breakfast
in your room or on the patio (weather permitting) is also an option. Special
diets will be accommodated as much as possible. The pantry is always open,
and beckons you to indulge in fresh baked cookies and a cup of coffee, tea
or hot chocolate. While we do not serve alcohol on the premises, we are happy
to provide a corkscrew and glasses if you wish to enjoy your own.
The Inn at Blackberry Creek invites you to feel at home by providing ample
space to enjoy. Whether you enjoy an afternoon cup of tea in the dining room,
or stretch out in the parlor, our wish is for you be be comfortable. You may
also visit the upstairs alcove, a sun-lit space with stunning views. Take time
to enjoy a good book, read the local paper, or browse through our collection
of books on the local history of Walla Walla. This area also hosts a table,
cards and a variety of games to entertain you.
A
natural spring forms a creek just behind the Inn, which plays home to a number
of animals. It is not uncommon to sit on the patio and spot pheasant, quail,
raccoons, owls, rabbits, squirrels, gold finches or blue jays. Whether
you want to explore the creek area, pick wild blackberries in season or bird
watch, The Inn at Blackberry Creek provides a quiet retreat for you to relax.
The Inn is within short walking distance to historic Pioneer Park, which is
a beautiful walk any time of year. Or you can hop on a bicycle (available upon
request) and ride to Whitman College in about seven minutes, or continue on
to downtown. Avid cyclists may choose to follow the trails around town, or
take a long ride to the base of the Blue Mountains. Take a day and visit sites
such as Fort Walla Walla Museum, Whitman Mission, Carnegie Art Center, or one
of the Valleys award-winning wineries.
Rooms are rented by reservation only. To keep the
atmosphere of the Inn and in courtesy to other guests we do not allow children
under the age of 12 unless all rooms in the facility are rented by your party.
